Please join us on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 5:30pm in the Media Center for part two of "School Finance 101." Questions and answers may include, but will not be limited, to the following.
- How is public school accounting different than personal finance?
- How will I know the school district is being fiscally responsible?
- When is an increase in local funding necessary?
- What are local funding options?
Again, school officials and district consultants will continue to discuss with attendees how school financing principals, rules, and guidelines differ from personal finance and general accounting procedures. Presenters will help simplify the complex rules of Ohio school finance so that attendees might better gauge Milton-Union's own accountability and long-term district solvency.
Please note the early start time is necessary to not conflict with the Winter Choir Concert beginning at 7:00pm the same evening. We want our parents and families to be able to attend both, so part two of "School Finance 101" will end promptly by 6:50pm.
We look forward to seeing you for part two of this important discussion regarding public school funding. Thank you for your continued support of the Milton-Union Schools!
