The following was taken directly from the CDC website regarding recent changes in the mask requirement on public transportation conveyances and at transportation hubs. The change applies to masking on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems.
"Effective February 25, 2022, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is exercising its enforcement discretion to not require that people wear masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs. CDC is making this change to align with updated guidance that no longer recommends universal indoor mask wearing in K-12 schools and early education settings in areas with a low or medium COVID-19 Community Level."
At the time this message was written, there were currently no mandates regarding masking applicable to public school students and staff members. The Milton-Union Schools do not have any additional local mandates and requirements in place. Therefore, masking is optional and up to the discretion of each individual student or staff member.
Thank you for your continued support of the Milton-Union Schools.
