On Thursday, March 10, 2022 the Ohio Department of Health announced changes regarding school reporting. Changes communicated yesterday by the ODH included the following statement.
"K-12 schools will no longer be required to report positive COVID-19 cases to their local health departments, unless the school tests a student for COVID-19 and the result is positive. In addition, the School Reporting Dashboard will be archived."
According to Miami County Public Health, the district is no longer required to report positive COVID-19 cases of students and staff members, and because the district does not conduct any rapid testing, there are no exceptions to this change for Milton-Union Schools.
Spread, an outbreak, or other unknown circumstances may result in future changes, but for now, everyone associated with the school district is thankful our students, staff members, and community members are experiencing a period of relief, good health, and wellness.
Thank you for your continued support of the Milton-Union Schools.
